The residence of Usman Austin Okai a member of the Governorship council in Kogi state was today August 27 2020 stormed by armed men of the Department of State Service (DSS) over the long expected ruling by Supreme Court on Election in Kogi state that saw the emergence of the current governor Yahaya Bello.
Sources speaking with Okai revealed that he stated reason why his house was been stormed and surrounded.
He said,
“DSS came to my house earlier today at Abacha Road, they have surrounded everywhere.
“My brother Aminu was forcefully taken along with them, one of the DSS operatives told one of my friends who just came in that they were from Asokoro.
“My life is in danger. They want me out of circulation based on my press releases and the information at my disposal about the Supreme Court judgment,”
MediaOrchid recalls that Okai had earlier sent a signal on Wednesday, raising an alarm in anticipation of the ruling of the Supreme Court on the 2019 governorship election held in Kogi state revealing that the judiciary was under intense coercion to give judgement in favor of Yahaya Bello.
Okai however beseeched the Court to remain resolute and not allow for it's arm
to be arm twisted.
