INEC Chairman Yakubu Mahmood Visits Oba Of Benin Ahead Of September 19 Election

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Prof  Mahmood Yakubu today led a senior management team of the commission to the palace of the Oba of Benin, Ewuare II.

In a statement made through the official Twitter handle of the INEC, it was revealed that the purpose of the chairman's visit was to " seek the Oba's assistance as a revered royal father, towards ensuring a peaceful, credible governorship election, scheduled to hold on 19th September 2020."
