The Chairman of the All progressive Congress in Edo state Anslem Ojezua has described Comrade Adams Oshiomole's move to change the address of the party's secretariat as Unconstitutional.
Citing the provisions of Article 8 of the party's constitution, he insisted that an executive committee at the state has the sovereign power to determine the location of party secretariat in Local Government Areas, Wards, or at the State Capital which must be approved by the National Executive Committee.
Anslem Ojezua said
"the secretariat remains at the No. 59 Airport Road, Benin City."
Making further reference to the party's constitution he said
" By the clear provision of our Constitution, the National Chairman of our Party not being sole administrator thereof, has absolutely no role to play on the issue of the location of the state".
He accused Comrade Adams Oshiomole of going contrary to a court order marked B/177/oS/19 which instructs all parties to maintain Status quo pending the hearing and outcome of the suit.
