KATSINA: Gunshots as angry youths protest incessant attacks and killings

Enraged youths in Yantumaki Damusa LGA of Katsina state on Tuesday 9th of June 2020 took to the streets in a protest over incessant killings and attacks, one of which claimed many lives including that of their district head and left many injured weeks ago.The protest saw the barricading of  Kankara-Katsina road  and other connecting roads that lead to Katsina town and Zamfara a neighboring state with tyres.
Billboards of President Mohammad Buhari were also burnt down amidst  chants that indicated how livid the people have become over insecurity of their lives and property.

Our correspondence revealed that some motorists turned back while others at close range abandoned their vehicles to scamper to safety as law enforcement agents released Gunshots in the air in a struggle to enforce calm and ensure that the situation did not escalate into a riot.
