....Moves To Revamp Facility.

The Cross River State Government has successfully taken over the Tinapa Business Resort from the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON). This development was announced by Governor Bassey Otu during a press conference in Calabar, where he revealed that the state's recovery of the resort was facilitated by a financial commitment made to AMCON.

The Tinapa Business Resort, which was initially inaugurated in 2007 by former Governor Donald Duke, is a 265-hectare free trade zone featuring a shopping mall, business center, hotel, water park, and artificial tidal lake. The resort aims to attract local and international businesses, fostering economic growth in the state and surrounding region.

Governor Otu emphasized the significant investment made by the state in constructing Tinapa and expressed his commitment to revitalizing the business resort. Plans are already underway to revamp the facility, with the goal of restoring it to its former glory.

This takeover marks a significant milestone in the state's efforts to reclaim and revitalize its key assets, and it is expected to have a positive impact on the local economy.
