….Says Allegations Are Fabricated.
– Court Issues Order Stoping State Security Service, Nigeria Police And The Code Of Conduct Bureau (CCB) From Carrying Out Investigation Of Prof. Mahmood’s Assets.
Justice Maryam Hassan today threw out allegations levelled against Mr Mahmood, saying they were “fabricated.”
Allegations against the INEC Chairman stemmed from summons filed by Somadina Uzoamaka against Mr Mahmood and the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF).
The claimant prayed the court to grant an injunction compelling the INEC Chairman to step down, pending investigation of allegations against him.
Mr Mahmood, however, presented a counterclaim which the court found worthy.
