“Stranded Politicians Working Hard At Blackmail”– Anyanwu

3-Man Adhoc Delegate: PDP National Secretary Anyanwu Commends Party Members, Leaders For Active Participation In Exercise.

– Says George Igbo Not His “Chief of Staff”

The National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu has described as free and fair, the just concluded 3 man ad-hoc delegate election in Imo state.

Applauding the committee for doing a good job he thanked party leaders, members, and critical stakeholders in the state for coming out en masse to vote for their preferred candidates, stressing that the exercise was a reflection of true democracy.

Anyanwu further urged party faithfuls and the public to see the minor misunderstanding during the exercise as a normal thing which is likely to happen while conducting rigorous exercises in a big political party like PDP, pointing out that such family skirmishes cannot divide the unity of the party .

According to him, “what is important is the victory of PDP in the 2023 elections, and not to protect any selfish ambition”, urging all PDP members to continue to remain good ambassadors of the party.

Anyanwu in his statement described as false and misleading the claim making all the rounds that he appointed one George Igbo as “Chief of Staff’, adding that such falsehood only  exists in the imagination of its speculators, maintaining that there is no such office in the PDP National Secretariat and further challenged anyone with contrary view to prove otherwise.

He further stated that “some stranded politicians” are working hard to blackmail him with fake stories that lack the substance, and urged the public to disregard it and enjoined  all aspirants gearing up to contest election under PDP to operate within the party guidelines and shun any act capable of ridiculing the image of the party.
