Action Alliance (AA) 2019 Governorship Candidate, Uche Nwosu, Has Been Abducted By Gunmen In Imo.
Information reaching the news desk of MEDIAORCHID reveals that Uche Nwosu, the 2019 Imo Governorship Candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) and Son-In-Law to former governor of Imo state Owelle Rochas Okorocha has been abducted by gunmen today.
Uche Nwosu was abducted early this morning at St Peters Anglican Church, Eziama Obire in Nkwere Local Government Area of Imo State where he attended a Thanksgiving service in commemoration of his late mother, Jemaimah Nwosu who was laid to rest last week Wednesday, a source speaking earlier with Sun correspondent revealed.
As at press time, not much detail on the abduction could be obtained however, witnesses at the church premises revealed that the gunmen where heavily armed and stormed the church premises in great numbers.
Another source Jones Onwusanya also took to his social media handle to reveal that Uche Nwosu was abducted by the Nigerian Police.
" Sad to hear that my very beloved big brother, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu was arrested by the Police, while attending church service for his Mum's Outing Service in Eziama Obaire, his village.
" While I concede to the powers of Security agents to invite anyone of interest in carrying out their jobs of protecting lives and properties, I condemn the Gestapo style of this Police operation and the desecration of the Church by these policemen. I presume they were just been overzealous and didn't have the directives of anyone to assault him the way they did.
" I expected that the most appropriate thing would have been to extend invitations to him for interviews with the Police, and in a situation where he constantly declines invitation, then, an arrest would follow.
" My prayers and those of my family are with him, for a safe return and for full exoneration from whatever he is accused of," he said.
