Viral Reports On Death Of Maj Datong Abducted By Bandits Not True.
MEDIAORCHID earlier on Wednesday morning, while making reference to Vanguard and PMNews as sources reported that Major Christopher Datong who has abducted by bandits during the invasion and attack of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) new site on Tuesday was later found dead.
A source in the Nigerian Army speaking with MEDIAORCHID this morning has however revealed that effort is been made to rescue the abducted officer adding that contrary to reports from news agencies, the army did not find any dead body.
Our source also revealed that no official statement has been issued by the Nigerian Military confirming the death of Maj. Datong neither did does the search team of the Nigerian Army have any record of finding or stumbling on his body.
" Major Datong is still very much alive, we are the ones on the field and i can categorically tell you that he is alive and effort is been made to secure his release." our source added.
