The National Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in his message on Thursday August 13 2021 to Nigerian Youths to mark the International Youth Day urged youths to be part of governance, stressing that the PDP is the platform for Nigerian Youths.

Theme: Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health.
Every year, since 1999, when the United Nations first celebrated the International Youth Day, based on a recommendation to the General Assembly by the World Conference of Ministers Responsible for Youth in Lisbon, the UN have always come out with a theme for each year's celebration.
This year's theme _"Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health",_ is apt as it aligns with our _'Youth in Governance'_ campaign, because we strongly believe that by being involved in governance, Nigerian youths will contribute novel ideas that will boost the economy of Nigeria through innovations in science, agriculture, technology, medicine, entertainment, fashion, healthcare, arts, and education generally.
The world over, young persons are causing tremendous social and economic growth in their countries through cutting-edge innovations that act as stimulus to national growth, development, and progress.
The case of Nigeria is not different, which is why, as the National Youth Leader of the PDP, I have been at the forefront of the campaign to get our youths actively involved in politics, governance, and leadership. This passion has necessitated all my actions as the National Youth Leader of the *Peoples Democratic Party*.
So, as young persons all over the world celebrate this day, I encourage every Nigerian youth to strive to be the best they can in all fields of legitimate endeavor. Also, the agricultural revolution that was started by the PDP, but unfortunately stymied by the lackluster APC government, will bounce back when we reclaim our nation from those who are hellbent on destroying it.
This is the time of the Nigerian youth to be in government and be part of governance, and PDP is the platform, which is why I encourage all the youth of our great party and nation to join hands to build a better, stronger, focused, and active PDP, because the PDP is the only veritable vehicle to rescue Nigeria from imminent collapse.
