Amb. Maryam Katagum Slumps During Empowerment Programme In Bauchi.
The Minister of state for Industry, Trade and Investment, Ambassador Maryam Katagum slumped during an official event held on Monday in Bauchi state.
The Minister, who is also an Indigene of Bauchi reportedly came into Bauchi on Saturday June 3 2021 for the Inauguration of an Empowerment Programme and also appeared in a live radio programme on Globe FM on Sunday while alps engaging in other engagements in the state.
The Empowerment Programme on Monday took place at the NAADI office, Sani Mallam Shopping Plaza located on Ahmadu Bello way and was about delivering a speech when she slumped.
Katagum was rushed to to the Trauma Centre of the Abubakar Tafwa Balewa University Hospital ATBUH for medical attention.
According to sources, Maryam Katagum didn't appear quite well when she got to the venue of the event and soon as she got up to deliver her speech, she held her head and slumped throwing her aides and invited guests into confusion as she was quickly rushed to the hospital.
The press were hindered from gaining entrance into the hospital
As at press time, the PRO of ATBUH Aminu Bomboyo is yet to issue any statement or respond to questions been asked on the incident.
