INEC Removes 9 Polling Units From Shrines, Mosques, Churches, Royal Palaces
.....740 Polling Units Removed From Other Facilities.
The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in a meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs) held at Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Wednesday June 16 2021 disclosed that the number of polling units across the country, has now changed from 119, 973, to 176, 846 following removal of 9 Polling units that have been termed 'inappropriate'.
Some of the facilities where 9 Polling units were removed include ; Shrines, Churches, Mosques, Royal Palaces and Private Property.
He also stated that the commission had converted existing voting points to full fledged Units.
