Senator Mohammed Musa Begs Buhari To Declare ' State Of Emergency'

Niger State Senator Calls For State Of Emergency Following The Abduction Of Students Of GSSS Kagara in Niger State.


Senator Mohammed Sani Musa representing Niger East Senatorial District on Wednesday during a plenary session asked President Muhammadu Buhari to act fast and declare a state of emergency on security following the abduction on Wednesday of staff and students of Government Science Secondary School im at about 2am on Wednesday in Kagara Niger state.


Senator Musa speaking said despite the effort of security agencies to recuse the victims, the exact whereabouts of the all those kidnapped remains unknown.


According to Musa, the incident occurred two days after all 21 passengers headed for Minna Tha Niger state capital were abducted ' in broad daylight'.


Another Senator from Niger south, Bima Enagi stressed that the rate of Killings and Kidnapping Activities ongoing around different parts of the country is an indication that government at the centre is Incompetent and is repenting in its ability to address insecurity.


The Senate president Ahmad Lawan in responding said,


" The recurring incidence of kidnapping of school children at school premises would have a negative effect on the willingness of parents to send children to school."


He further beseeched security agencies to involve a strategic approach to securing schools and checking the menace.
