National Human Rights Commission NHRC directs all it's states offices and Headquarters Abuja to monitor Human Rights Violations during the ongoing nationwide #EndSARS Protest.
The National Human Rights Commission has notified it's states offices and headquarters to be present at all protests and help ensure that rights of protesters are not trampled upon.
The information was passed on Sunday, and it read
" Please note that at the state, and monitoring Dept at headquarters, you are required to go out and follow the protesters to monitor the protests in the various states and Abuja to protect their human rights.
" You are to bring reports of any human rights violations by security and law enforcement personnel or thugs against the peaceful protesters. You are to send weekly report of the monitoring exercise.
" An officer should be charged with this activity in the state or Monitoring Dept to ensure you send your report by Sunday evening every week.
" This exercise will commence from tomorrow Monday 19th October 2020. All reports to the commissions email are to be marked for the attention of monitoring department."
