The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) warns Nigerians about mobile App, Says It's Not Approved For Public Consumption.
The commission in a statement signed by the Head Corporate Commissions Kayode Adegoke said the NIMC Mobile App is not for public consumption stressing that the App is still in the test environment and currently being fine tuned.
" Our attention has been drawn to several complaints about the NIMC mobile App. We will like Nigerians to be aware that the App is a novel innovation by the commission, but it is yet to be officially approved for public consumption."
He further stated that the commission will issue a formal statement regarding usage of App by National Identification Number (NIN) registered persons.

Adegoke assured Nigerians of the security of their data.
He said,
" The data is securely encrypted both in transit and the rest."
Addressing members of the public he said,
" Members of the general public are hereby advised to disregard commentaries and information from unauthorized sources about the App and other activities of the commission. The official communication platforms of the commission are the only authorized sources of information pertaining to all its activities - Press releases, Media Parley, Websites and Official Social Media handles."
