Leaders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ward 4 Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State also known as Edo South have converged for a strategic Unity meeting ahead September Elections.
Hon. Enaruna Ihama the Chairman of the Ward, Hon. Thomas Aroko leader of the party, Hon. Mrs. Evelyn Ine the Woman Leader and Fred Ezemo, Youth Leader were present at the meeting.
The Chairman of Ward 4, Hon. Enaruna Ihama speaking at the meeting pointed out that Oredo LGA used to have only 2 Political parties, namely the All Progressives Congress (APC) and People's Democratic Party (PDP). Celebrating the defection of Governor Obaseki into PDP he however stressed that they will not relax in campaigning and working as a team to ensure victory of the PDP in the forthcoming Elections in September.
Thomas Aroko the leader of the party in the area enjoined all members to work synergize and work as team, tasking all members to ensure that Oredo presents the best result come September 19th 2020.
Alfred Ezomo the Youth Leader charged the youths to be very vigilant in watching out for persons and elements that may used in an attempt to disrupt the process. He stressed that Oredo Youths are equal to the task.
In the same vein, taking the meeting further the PDP Woman Leader in the area Hon. Mrs Evelyn Ine speaking, assured the party and Governor Obaseki of the capacity of Women to deliver their choice candidate reiterating that when women rise up together in support of any cause, victory is always sure.
She said
"When women believe in any cause, they fight for it to the very end".
She furthered urged for inclusiveness of women, carrying them along to enable them participate every step of the way.
