Lost Child found at NNPC Towers handed Over After Public Appeal, Verification.
The FCT Police Command has reunited 6-year-old Haneem Hussaini Bello with his grandmother barely 24 hours after he was found wandering around the NNPC Towers in the Central Business District, Abuja.
Haneem was found on Thursday, 4th September 2026. Following an appeal for public assistance, the child’s grandmother, who had been with him before he got separated from the family, was identified and contacted.
After due verification, the boy was safely handed over to her on Friday, 5th September 2026.
The Command appreciated members of the public for their support and timely information, noting that the collaboration between citizens and the police led to the quick identification of the child’s family and his safe reunification.
It also reiterated its commitment to protecting vulnerable persons in the FCT and urged residents to continue to provide useful information to the police.
