PDP National Chairman Hails Bauchi Governorship Candidate’s Investment In Digital Skills, Youth Empowerment And Human Capital Development.
Azare stood still on Sunday as PDP leaders, stakeholders and supporters gathered for the commissioning of a modern ICT Centre built by the PDP Bauchi Governorship Candidate, Hon. Usman Adamu Ahmed Suphi.
The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Hon. Abdulrahman Mohammad represented by the Deputy National Chairman (North), Akirikwen Yusuf, SAN, in his mesaage commended Hon. Usman Adamu Suphi for the project, describing it as “purpose, progress, and a testament to visionary leadership.”
He said the centre reflects the kind of leadership a PDP administration under Suphi would provide focused on youth empowerment, technology and human capital development.
The National Chairman noted that digital skills are now key to jobs and global opportunities, and urged residents to protect the facility and maximize its use.
Hon. Abdulrahman further encouraged beneficiaries to transform the knowledge and skills acquired at the centre into practical solutions capable of contributing to the development of Bauchi State and Nigeria.
He encouraged youths in Bauchi to leverage on the use of technology to develop solutions to challenges in agriculture, education, healthcare, commerce and governance, thereby bridging the digital divide, increasing productive engagement, skills acquisition and income-generating opportunities, ultimately helping to reduce idleness and economic vulnerability among young people
Dignitaries at the event included PDP NWC members, state chairmen, governorship candidates and representatives of other political parties. The ICT Centre will train youths in coding, design, data analysis and cybersecurity, and support entrepreneurship and remote work.
“Bauchi is in safe hands with a leader who understands the 21st century,” he concluded.
