BREAKING: Gunmen Assassinate Gov. Aiyedatiwa's Campaign Coordinator

#Ondo2024: Gunmen Assassinate All Progressives Congress (APC) Returning Officer / Aiyedatiwa's Campaign Coordinator Alaba Abbey. 

The returning Officer of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Mr. Alaba Abbey, in Supare Akoko, ward 10 of Akoko Southwest Local Government in Ondo state, is reported to have been  assassinated by unknown gunmen.

Information reaching the Newsdesk of MEDIA ORCHID reveals the deceased was the Returning Office of the APC in the just concluded primary election that produced Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as the candidate of the ruling party in Ondo State.

His death was confirmed on Sunday by his elder brother, Samuel Abbey, FCA.

He is reported to have been  assassinated on Saturday night at about 9pm in front of his house after returning home.

As at press time the police confined the incident in a telephone conversation.  The state Police Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, said, “The state command is aware of the incident (killing) but the investigation is ongoing to unravel all that happened.”
