President of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Godswill Akpabio who was elected into the Global Executive Committee of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, on Friday night hosted a thank you dinner for the African delegations to honour the newly elected President of the Union, Dr Tulia Ackson. 

The dinner had in attendance the immediate past President of the Union  and Portuguese MP, Mr. Duarte Pacheco, with his wife and children, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives. Hon Benjamin Kalu, Heads of Parliaments of South Africa, Ghana, Zambia, Sierra Leone, Namibia, Guinea Bissau.
