Nigerians Hail New DIG Egbetokun As Police Burst Ritualists Den In FCT-Abuja, Rescue Suspected Abducted Teenagers, Arrest 3 Suspects 



A Crack Team of Police detectives under the Deputy Inspector General DIG Kayode Egbetokun On Wednesday stormed Jikwoyi and Orozo around Karu axis, having recieved intelligence report, swung into action which led to the arrest of, three suspects, Uluko Adukwu, 28, Salisu Aduh, 38, and Adams Halilu, 24.


SP Istifanus Sunday Bako the public relations Officer at Zone 7 Abuja in a press statement announced the arrest of the suspects.




The suspects who hail from Kogi State, though resident in the FCT-Abuja had in their custody two boys -ages 11 and 13 – suspected to be their victims.


According to Bako, the gang confessed to using charms to defraud people and giving charms to internet fraudsters who perform rituals, aka Yahoo Plus. 






The police further stated that fraudsters in turn use the charms on their targets, sometimes resulting in the death of some of the victims.


Items recovered include 3 empty caskets, 1 Toyota Prado, 1 Lexus 330 Car, and 15 mobile phones.  Also recovered were clothes and women’s underwear believed to belong to dead victims.


Egbetokun advised the general public on the need to be mindful of places of worship. He further urged Nigerians to stay vigilant and report suspicious movements and activities. 


Nigerians reacting to the news hailed Kayode Egbetokun who was recently promoted to Deputy Inspector-General (DIG) for his good works and for swinging into action upon receiving intelligence report of the henoius activities and most importantly for uncovering the ritualist den and arresting all suspects.

The operation was successfully carried out by the team 24hrs before Egbetokun promotion to the position of DIG.
