PDP National Legal Adviser Ajibade SAN, Others, Honor Hon. Justice Aboki As He Attains Mandatory 70yrs Retirement From Bench.

The National Legal Adviser Of The Official Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Nigeria Kamaldeen Adeyemi Ajibade SAN on Thursday September 16 2022, was at the  Supreme Court of Nigeria for the Valedictory court session in honour of Hon. Justice Abdu Aboki, JSC, to Congratulate him on his attainment of mandatory 70yrs retirement from the Bench.

Watch Video:

Hon. Justice Abdu Aboki, JSC was appointed a Judge of the High Court of Justice, Kano State in 1987 and he served in that capacity until 2006, when His Lordship was elevated to the Bench of the Court of Appeal of Nigeria. He served very creditably at the Court of Appeal for fourteen years and was the Presiding Justice of Jos and Abuja Divisions of the Court of Appeal.

His Lordship is generally lauded as having served with distinction at the Court of Appeal, with many of his Judgments often evincing encomiums for his undoubted mastery of the law. He is an amiable and most valuable member of the Nigerian Judiciary, a consummate Jurist, a Life Bencher, a well-spoken and refined personality, who loves reading.

Hon. Justice Abdu Aboki, JSC is also known for his gentle yet firm control with Counsel who have been privileged to appear before a Panel of the Bench where his Lordship has featured. Nevertheless, as those who have fallen foul of the law can attest, his ire is to be avoided, as this implacably honest Jurist does not suffer fools gladly. It is little wonder that His Lordship was elevated to the Bench of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, in November 2020. He was also privileged to act in various capacities, and has been widely reported to have served very creditably.

Kamaldeen Adeyemi Ajibade SAN in recounting his experience while working with Aboki said;

“ I started my practice in Kano and my appearances was before Hon. justice Abdu Aboki as he then was at the High Court of Kano judicial division.

“His mentorship is an experience that would remain indelible in my memory forever. Congratulations my noble Lord,” Ajibade added.
