'PDP Crisis': Gov. Ortom Sacks Managing Director Of Benue Investment And Property Company (BIPC) Ter Adum, Over Alleged Support For Atiku.
The Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom today Sunday September 25 2022, Sacked the Managing Director of Benue Investment And Property Company (BIPC)
The Press statement announcing the indefinite suspension of Mr. Alex Ter Adum Esq from office signed by the Secretary to the state government, Anthony A. Ijohor SAN and obtained by MEDIAORCHID read;
" The Executive Governor of Benue state His Excellency Samuel Ortom has approved the Indefinite suspension of Mr. Alex Ter Adum Esq from office as the Managing I
Director/CEO of Benue Investment And Property Company Limited pending the determination of cares of financial impropriety levelled against him.
" The suspension is with immediate effect.
" He has therfore been directed to hand over to the General Manager, Corporate Services/Company Secretary, Benue Investment And Property Company Limited."
As source from Makurdi the Benue state capital speaking with MEDIAORCHID said trouble started for Mr. Alex Ter Adum when it was discovered that over had allegedly aligned and was drumming support for the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar.
Givenror Samuel Ortom is a close friend and ally of the Governor of Rivers state Nyesom Ezenwo Wike who contested the PDP presidential primary election in May but lost to Atiku Abubakar.
Other contestants in the primaries include; Former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, The Governor of Akwa-Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel, Pius Anyim, Sam Ohuabunwa, Former Governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose, and Dele Momodu.
Governor Aminu Tambuwal, of Sokoto State , a close friend of Wike, initially aspiring for the position, shockingly announced his withdrawal from the race on the day of the convention and further asked his supporters to cast their votes for Atiku.
