Prof. Effah-Attoe Receives Delegation Of Women

 


 

Nigerian Women Commend PDP National Woman Leader Prof Stella Effah-Attoe Over Leadership Role, Show Of Love Towards Stakeholder, Princess Omo Bolanle Ogundiran. 


The National Woman Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prof. Stella Effah-Attoe, yesterday Monday February 7 2022 a received a delegation of PDP women led by Hajia Zainab Maina, CON, a member of the Board of Trustees (BoT), former Minister of Women Affairs, and former President of NCWS, to thank the National Woman Leader for her show of motherly love towards one of the stakeholders, Princess Omobolanle Ogundiran, PhD.


MEDIAORCHID recalls that the home of Dr. Bolanle was on the 25th of December 2021, razed by fire caused by electrical power surge in the building located at the Jabi area of FCT-Abuja. She was reported to have lost all her belongings as not a pin was saved from the fire. 








Following the disaster, the National Woman Leader swung into action and created a platform that rallied voluntary support from Party faithful, loved ones and well-wishers in show of solidarity to the victim. Men, women, and youth contributed money, personal visits, calls, and gifts of food items, clothing, amongst other things, to less the pain of Princess Bolanle and family.


Hajiya Maina speaking said, 

“We are here confirming the uniqueness of the largest political party in Africa and the demonstration of your unique love for humanity and motherly concern for rallying together of loved ones around a victim of a misfortune. This is unprecedented and we thank you on behalf of our sister and the PDP Women nationwide, and equally urge you to keep it up.”


The National Woman Leader Prof. Stea  Effah-Attoe while responding, thanked the women for coming but however remarked, that she felt a sense of duty to have intervened as a mother and fellow party woman. She thanked all who responded to her call of support for Princess Bolanle.


“This show of empathy and love by the PDP family cannot be over emphasized. I thank the different segments/leaders, chieftains, and party faithful who responded to my voluntary call for support to our sister during her trying period. The outpouring of love and affection from all of you is highly commendable. I sincerely appreciate you all,” she said. 


A press statement signed by the National Director Publicity of the party Mrs. Chinwe Nnorom revealed a list of persons who reached out to empathize with Dr. Bolanle. 


" The list of those who empathized with Princess Bolanle Ogundiran is long, and they include:

Former Senate President and former Governor of Kwara State, H.E. Senator Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki,

Former Senate President and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim,

Senate Minority Whip, Senator Philips Tanimu Aduda and Wife, 


House of Representatives Leader, Rt. Hon Ndudi Elumelu, former Senate Minority Leader and former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State,

Senator Biodun Olujimi,

Former Minister of Defense and former Deputy Governor of Osun State, 

Her Excellency Erelu Olusola Obada,

Former House of Representatives Majority Leader, Rt. Hon Mulikat Akande,

Former Special Adviser to President, Dame Dr. Esther Udehi,

Former Minister of Women Affairs and former National Woman Leader, Hajia Inna Ciroma, 

National Vice Chairman (SS), Chief Dan Orbih, and a host of other individuals and groups joined the National Woman Leader, as a delegation to pay a visit to the office of Tha National Chairman in his office, who  also pledged support for Princess Bolanle.


Nnorom beckoned on women and enjoined  teeming members and supporters of the PDP to join hands with the Sen. Dr. Iyorchia Ayu led NWC who had earlier announced their mission to rescue and rebuild Nigeria come 2023.
