Minister, Senator, others are reported to have taken to their heels, scampering for safety following sporadic shooting by armed thugs at the APC Congress venue in Ogun State.
According to reports, pandemonium broke out on Saturday following the invasion of Ake Palace ground by thugs.
A faction of the All Progressives Congress loyal to Senator Ibikunle Amosun in Ogun state was holding its congress when sounds of sporadic shooting filled the air
It is also reported that the venue was earlier been sealed by the police in the state, but was later reopened.

Amosun’s loyalists, drawn from all the local government areas of the state, who were just settling down and about commencing their scheduled activities were thrown off balance as thugs invaded the venue.
While the violence was breaking out at Ake Palace, the other faction of the APC loyal to the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, is reported to have enjoyed a peaceful congress at the MKO Abiola Stadium.
Although men on the Nigerian attempted to resist the thugs, Members of the Transport Union who have been alleged to have played active roles in the violence which took place today in Ogun state were reported to have overwhelmed them.
Loyalists of Amosun according to a source later managed to put up resistance and further confronted the police over failure to protect the people in the heat of the Pandemonium, thereby provoking the Policemen on ground to begin firing gunshots in the air.
The congress continued after calm had been restored by Amosun's Loyalists.
