Recall that MEDIAORCHID reported that Anyanwu was on Thursday adopted as the South-East Consensus Candidate For Office of the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu, aka Sam Daddy:
The Unfolding Greatness of a Seasoned Political Administrator
Born on the 18th of June 1965 in Umuduruanyanwu Obodo Amaimo in Ikeduru local government area of Imo State, Sam Daddy, as he is fondly called, commenced his scholarly journey at Central School Amaimo.
From Central School Amaimo he proceeded to Amaimo High School. For his University education, he went to the University of Port Harcourt (Uniport) where he studied Political Science and Administrative Studies.
Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu's leadership star started shining bright from his formative years when he became Secretary of Imo State Youth Organization (IYO) while still in Junior Secondary school in 1983.
Being from a humble background, Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu delved into business at that young age until 1996 when he was able and enabled to further his academic pursuit in Uniport. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the department of Political Science and Administrative studies.
In 2003, the political leadership of Distinguished Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu crystallized when he was appointed as Chairman Transition Committee of Ikeduru Local Government Council.
Thereafter, in 2004, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu was elected the executive Chairman of Ikeduru local Government Council and Secretary of Imo State chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON). A position he held till 2007.
During the 2007 elections, Sam Daddy was elected by his constituents into the Imo State House of Assembly, where he was made the Chairman House Committee on Ethics and Privileges. In 2011, he was reelected for another State Legislative term.
His Legislative run continued in 2015, when destiny and providence rewarded his hard work, as he was elected by the people of Imo East Senatorial District to represent them in the Red Chamber of the 8th Assembly as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
As a first time Senator, his quintessential administrative acumen earned him the position of Chairman Senate committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petition, where he performed impeccably well to the admiration of his colleagues.
While in the Senate, he also held the following positions:
1. Vice Chairman Senate committee on Custom, Excise Duties, and Tariffs.
2. Vice Chairman Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance, and other Financial Institutions.
3. Member Senate Committee on Culture and Tourism.
4. And, in 2016, he won the National Assembly Press Corp best Senate Committee Chairman award.
Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu is a Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Club International, a Peace Ambassador of the International Association of World Peace, and winner of the Peace Achievers International Honours, October 2021. He is also a Harvard Alumni, where he obtained a Doctorate degree in Business Administration.
Distinguished Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu was also a former Gubernatorial Aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State. He is the Chairman/CEO of NewView Group Nig Ltd.
Today, this amiable gentleman and seasoned administrator is the Consensus Candidate of the PDP South East Caucus for the position of National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party.
He enjoys the overwhelming support of all PDP leaders and stakeholders across the zones and states of the Federation.
