Sen Samuel Anyanwu Commends Hon Ihemtuge's Leadership Of PDP In Ikeduru.

.... Charges Party Faithfuls Embark On Membership Drive To Boost Chances Of Party.

Senator Samuel Anyanwu in a statement issued on Sunday September 5 2021, gave assurance of his genuine desire to reposition the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ikeduru Local government Area, expressing optimism that such decision will unite every aggrieved persons and encourage interested members to join the party.

He said that while the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is busy creating hunger and starvation in the country, there is need for members of the main opposition party to come together to look for urgent solution to the menace.

Anyanwu disclosed this weekend while addressing Ikeduru PDP leaders at his country home, Amaimo.

According to him,

“My desire is to reposition the PDP in Ikeduru LGA as a major force in line with the saying that charity begins at home. We all know that Ikeduru is PDP, and we should not allow the influx of political prostitutes into APC to deter our desire to make PDP formidable in the local government. We can only do this by uniting everyone together”

“ Today, our revered leader, Chief (Dr) Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu is retiring from active politics having attained 79 years of age. It will be a thing of joy for all of us to team up in solidarity to celebrate him as a mark of respect to a foremost Nationalist of Ikeduru-Imo extraction in this period of his 79 years birthday anniversary.”

“ We should not allow his good intention to quit active politics to affect PDP in Ikeduru since he has produced young leaders like all of us” he added.

Senator Anyanwu further assured them of his commitment to always invest in the party not only at the LGA or Zonal levels, but the state at large, pointing out that such idea will go a long way to revive and sustain the peace existing in the party presently.

He therefore charged PDP faithfuls in Ikeduru LGA to embark on membership drive to boost the chances of the party, appealing to those yet to register in the ongoing voters’ registration exercise to do so as soon as possible.

While expressing his confidence in the Hon Ihemtuge’s  leadership of PDP in Ikeduru LGA, further enjoined members to be disciplined in their conducts to avoid dragging the party’s image to the mud.
