IMO [FUEL SCARCITY] : Oil Marketers Call Off 3-Day Old Strike In Imo

 





' Equidistant', Governor Uzodinma Under Fire From Imolites Over  Comments On Fuel Scarcity. 

.... Oil Marketers In Imo Give 2 Weeks Ultimatum. 



The Association of Oil Marketers in Imo State has suspended it’s three day old strike following Intervention of stakeholders in the State.


The Association however gave the state government two weeks to resolve all lingering issues raised by association.


Meanwhile Governor Hope Uzodinma has come under fire from Imolites following his comments on the bugging issue of fuel scarcity caused by oil Marketers in Imo embarking on strike.

In a viral video, Uzodinma was seen asking Imolites to go to neighboring cities and towns to get fuel thereby dashing the hopes of Imolites who anticipated hearing the governor proffer solutions or offer hope to an already frustrated people. 


In his words; 

" It doesn't take 15 minutes for people to cross Mgbidi to Uli Anambra for people to buy fuel, to Rivers state, to Abia state. 


" You know we are 'Equidistant ' with some neighboring states, so i don't think it is something break our heads about," he added. 


Imolites in turn took to various social media platforms to not only condemn Uzodimma's action but have also engaged in caricature making especially over the use of the word 'Equidistant' by the Governor.
