The founding Director General of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum, Earl Osaro Onaiwu has called on all PDP Governors, former Governors Forum and the National Assembly Caucus to intensify effort and act swiftly to save the party.
MediaOrchid recalls that 7 national officers tendered their resignation on Tuesday August 3 2021.
Following their resignation, the National Youth Leader of the party Rt. Hon. Udeh Okoye in a viral video was seen expressing his grievance against the National Chairman of the party Prince Uche Secondus, where he described the national as "incompetent" and responsible for the many disagreements between NWC Members and also for the crisis hitting the party.

Onaiwu in a statement signed by him and issued on Wednesday August 4 2021 expressed his disappointment at series of upheavals bedeviling the party stressing that the PDP needs to be united now more than ever before especially as it works towards achieving victory in 2023.
" Democracy as we know it is supposed to be progressive and not retrogressive and the PDP is a party built on democratic tenets, which positions it to be 'people oriented'.
" Therefore irrespective of differences and personal ideological leanings, the success of the party would largely depend on the will and unity of the people in it."

Acknowledging the announcement by the party's Spokesperson on effort to put in place mechanisms to resolve the crisis, he cautioned party members against making statements that may further fuel the crisis stressing that "personal attacks and baseless accusations would only destroy the party further."
Onaiwu making a frantic call on PDP Governors, Former Governors and NASS Caucus, he said,
" The PDP Governors, Former Governors Forum and NASS Caucus must intensify effort to unite the people and to save our party. A stitch in time saves nine," he added.
