Buhari Says Nigerians Aware Of Priority Of Education.

... Commends Effort Of Nigerian Parents.



President Muhammadu Buhari during a panel discussion on Thursday July 29 2021 at the Global Education Summit in London stated that ' a person cannot succeed outside his or her  personal educational qualification,' adding that anybody who misses education has missed everything.


He also noted the effort of Nigerian parents towards ensuring that their children get educated.


A statement titled; ‘Nigerians Acutely Aware of Priority of Education, President Buhari Tells Global Education Summit’, issued by the Special Adviser to  President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, revealed that the size and population of Nigeria are challenges for any administration, but despite this, the government and people realize that education is the starting point for success adding that no Nigerian parent jokes with education, as they know that if their children or wards missed the opportunity of being educated, they have missed a lot.


“You can’t succeed outside your educational qualification. Anybody who missed education has missed everything. Nigerians are acutely aware of the priority of education, and parents are making sacrifices to ensure that their children and wards get educated.”


MediaOrchid recalls that On Wednesday , President Muhammadu Buhari promised to raise the budget for education by 50 per cent in the next two years, stressing that a 100% increase would be attained by 2025 in Nigeria. 

 

Other members of the panel at the summit  include ; Presidents Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana, Faure Gnassingbe of Togo, Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya, and Lazarus Chakwera of Malawi.


Each President spoke on the peculiarities of the education sector of his country, and how budgetary allocations would be increased to ameliorate the situation and as a sign of commitment the resolution made, different presidents raised hands They all raised their hands.
