EXCLUSIVE: WIPF Holds 2-Day Strategic Development Plan Meeting



Women In Politics Forum (WIPF) Maps Out 5 Years Strategic Development Plan For Women In Politics.



Women in Politics Forum (WIPF) a multi-party forum for women, on Thursday held a strategic development meeting for women in politics. The Meeting which lasted for 2 days commenced on Thursday July 8 2021 and came to a climax on Friday July 9 2021 took place in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja. 


The 5 years Strategic Development Plan 2021-2026 meeting for Women in Politics Forum (WIPF) was presented a framework which is aimed at guiding the activities of the WIPF in all 36 states of the country and the Federal Capital Territory.

The president of WIPF Barr Ebere Ifendu in her welcome remark gave a break down on participation of women in the ongoing INEC Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) Exercise and called for women across the country to come out and participate noting that if more women must be seen in elective positions come 2023 general elections then they must answer the call to not only participate in the CVR exercise but also launch campaigns and encourage other women especially younger women who just turned 18 years old. 


Also joining the meeting online were; 

Chief Sharon Ikeazor, Hon. minister of state for Enviroment, 

Former Minister of Women Affairs, Iyom Josephine Anenih and Ms. Toun Okewale-Sonaiya , CEO Women radio. 





Views from Women representatives, members and partners of WIPF on the Strategic Development Plan through dialogue and information sharing were consolidated. 



The meeting commenced with registration of all participants and thereafter a review of the Vision, Mission Statements and Values was done.



The Strategic development meeting also featured professionals who facilitated using various methodologies to help achieve strategic aims.
