Uzodimma Vows To Grow Economy In Ngor-okpala

 

Gov Uzodinma To Break Age-Long Spell Of Disrespect, Marginalization Of Ngor-okpala LGA,

....Says, Economic Viability Of Ngor-okpala LGA Is Of Utmost Importance.

Governor Hope Uzodinma while receiving delegation from Ngor-okpala local government area of Imo state as part of his stakeholders engagement said, ' the Economic viability of Ngor-Okpala Local Government is of utmost important to his government.'

“ The Government is not only interested in opening up roads, we are interested in opening up and growing a vibrant economy in the Ngor Okpala Local Government. "

Sir Eustace Eke who led the delegation, while speaking earlier at the meeting, commended the Governor Uzodinma for having the initiative to take up this course. 

He noted the efforts of Uzodinma towards  agricultural developments especially for attracting Federal presence to the Local Government such as the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA) and for supplying them with the necessary equipment and other things needed to boost agriculture in Ngor-okpala Local Government Area.

Ngor-okpala people have been agitating for infrastructural development for a long time.

A stakeholder from Ngor-okpala speaking with MediaOrchid said,

" Ngor-okpala despite being the second  largest, have been painfully sidelined which has caused the people to lag behind." 

Lamenting the death of  Late Maria Eke, a prominent woman from Ngor-okpala, the stakeholder said, 

" Except for Chief Maria Eke, if she was alive maybe Ngor-okpala would have gotten to the a great height when it comes to achievement. She was courageous unlike many of the political elites now.

" After Nnanna Ukaegbu who years ago showed interest to be governor, Ngor-okpala sons and daughters since then have battled political limitation which to a great extent can be blamed on the political elite of Ngor-okpala who keep playing second fiddle to other zones and act cowardly, or always sitting back to serve governments instead of rallying round themselves to producing one of their own.

" Ngor-okpala People must come out and courageously fight for top positions as well and must also demand that governments in Imo treat them as second largest LGA in the state especially in terms of votes and give them plum jobs and infrastructure. It is that simple, " the stakeholder added.
