Governor Seyi Makinde Announces Dissolution Of Oyo State Executive Council.

Governor Seyi Makinde's cabinet which was put together in August 2019 has been dissolved. Those affected by the decision are the Chief of Staff (CoS) and 17 Commissioners.
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG) the Mrs Olubamiwo Adeosun, Head of Service (HOS) Mrs Amudat Agboola and the Director-General of Due Process Office Ms. Tara Adefope were however retained.
The dissolution was announced to take effect from Tuesday June 29 2021
A statement signed by Mr. Taiwo Adisa, the chief press secretary to Governor Makinde revealed that the dissolution was a resolve of a meeting of the Executive Council on Tuesday which lasted about five hours.
Makinde in the statement commended the members of the council and noted their dedication and level of commitment towards the betterment of Oyo.
“ His Excellency, the Governor of Oyo State, ‘Seyi Makinde, announced the dissolution of the State Executive Council, with effect from Tuesday, June 29, 2021.
“ Governor Makinde, after a prolonged meeting of the Council, told members it was time to retool after two years.
“ He, therefore, wished the ex-Commissioners the best in their future endeavours.”
