BREAKING: JUSUN Calls Off 2 Months Strike, Give Resumption Date




 Judiciary Staff Union Of Nigeria (JUSUN) Suspends Strike.

.... Sets Monday As Resumption Day For Courts.



The Judiciary Staff Union Of Nigeria (JUSUN) has suspended its 2 months strike. JUSUN on the 3rd of April releases a circular stating that the courts will be closed across Nigeria to ensure that the FG grants its demands which is the implementation of an order signed by President Buhari In May 2020 granting financial autonomy to the legislature and the Judiciary across 36 states in Nigeria . 


The announcement on suspension of the 2 Months strike came following a meeting of National Executives Council (NEC) between the union and the Federal Government at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.


MediaOrchid recalls that on Saturday the union had encouraged its members to persevere and assured that plans to call the strike off was been made.


The meeting which was held on Tuesday in Abuja had in attendance Justice Ibrahim Muhammad the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) who asked that the union   put away personal issues and put public interest first.


The strike which has been ongoing for 2 months has affected many Nigerians whose rights get violated on a daily basis among many other issues involving crime.

One of such Human Rights Abuses that had a upsurge in Nigeria is " Sexual and Gender Based Violence" .

Many Sexual offenders have been granted bail and roam free without being charged to court and being  prosecuted.
