1 Dead As Gunmen Invade Islamic School, Abduct Over 200 Students In Niger State.
Reports reveal that about 200 students of an Islamiyya school located at Tegina in Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State have been abducted.
One person was shot dead while another sustained serious injury during the operation which took place at about 4pm on Sunday May 30 2021
According to a report from Channels, one Zayyad Mohammed confirmed the incident via a phone call and further stated that the Salihu Tanko Islamiyya school where the incident took place, was built by a retired Immigration Officer.
Although full details on the incident hasn't been gotten neither has the police issued any statement on the incident as at press time, sources reveal that the Islamiyya school is not the usual Sangaya boarding Islamic school, but a conventional one where parents send their children on a daily basis for the purpose of acquiring Islamic education.
