Governor Of Godwin Obaseki Wins At The Supreme Court.
The Governor of Edo state Godwin Obaseki was at the Supreme Court earlier today May 28 2021 as a result of the battle over his qualification and election as the governor of Edo state.
The Court dismissed the appeal by the All Progressives Congress (APC) challenging the qualification of Obaseki to run for the office of the governor of Edo state and his re election into office.
The Court ruled that the case filed by the APC against Governor Obaseki collapsed early therefore Godwin Obaseki needed not have put up a single defence. The case was accordingly dismissed.
The court also directed the APC to pay the sum of N1,000,000.00 to Governor Obaseki
