ANAMBRA 2021: Valentine Ozigbo Unveils Master Plan To Top Royal Father, Political Families Of Anambra North

Obi Of Onitsha, Top Political Families, PDP Stakeholders, Meet With Valentine Ozigbo, As Anambra North Receive 'Ka Anambra  Chawapu Manifesto'.

Valentine Ozigbo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) frontrunner for the 2021 governorship election, has taken his 'Ka Anambra Chawapu' to the people of Anambra North Senatorial District.

Mr Ozigbo made his plans known on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, when he held a meeting with His Royal Majesty Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe, the Obi of Onitsha, top political families, and key PDP stakeholders from Anambra North. This meeting followed a similar meeting with Anambra South stakeholders held earlier in the day.

The venue for the event, Sharon Hall, Onitsha, was packed with the political who-is-who from the senatorial district as they all came to listen to Ozigbo, who has been described as "Anambra's brightest chance at reclaiming its lost glory". In attendance was the foremost traditional ruler and Chairman of the Council of Traditional Rulers in Anambra State, Igwe Achebe, the Obi of Onitsha, who Chief Ikechukwu Areh Gbosa represented.

Addressing the large gathering of party members and supporters, Ozigbo shared his 'Ka Anambra Chawapu' manifesto, which outlines his development initiative for Onitsha, Omambala areas, and environs.

"It is not a hidden fact that Anambra North holds more potential than we are currently enjoying. I say this from a thoroughly informed perspective as I have visited all the local governments in the zone on numerous occasions," Ozigbo remarked.

"I have maintained that my approach to governance will ensure the massive development of every sector. I am bringing creativity, innovation, and would leverage on technology to fast track far-reaching rural and urban developmental strategies to reposition Anambra State."

While speaking on his plans for Onitsha and its environs, Ozigbo, one of the few global Kaizen champions, said the commercial potentials of the area must be harnessed, as Onitsha holds the key to unlocking the economic greatness of Anambra, and in extension, the South East.

"There will be a massive expansion and rejuvenation of the Onitsha and Idemili cluster. We will turn it into a bigger commercial ecosystem that will cater to the needs of Anambra and the whole of the South East," Ozigbo declared.

"We will assist investors in obtaining business permits and licenses and guarantee overall security of investment, personnel and equipment."

Ozigbo, who is the immediate past President and Group CEO of Transcorp Plc, also revealed plans to leverage technology for the massive improvement of the agricultural process in the Omambala and Ogbaru clusters.

"Technology has proven to be a very vital tool for development. Hence, we are also going to leverage that in our agricultural sector so that our operations can go beyond just production," the agribusiness expert stated.

"We will provide our farmers with the necessary tools and resources needed to go into direct processing of the farm produce so that they can tap fully into the prosperity in the agricultural sector while controlling the entire economic food chain".

"Our development strategy is well laid out, and its implementation will bring the needed face-lift and transformation needed in Anambra state", he added.

Mr Ozigbo urged the stakeholders to remain firm and steadfast in their support for the vision he has for Anambra state, stating that he will stop at nothing to make Anambra state great again.

"Rebuilding Anambra state demands our individual and collective efforts, ideas and passion. It is not something one person can do alone".

"My entire career has been around managing human and material resources. I am very confident that our state is blessed with everything we need to become a true light of the nation," Ozigbo declared.

"All that is left is for us to unite and work in synergy to rebuild and rebrand our state and reposition it to become the country's economic hub. This is my dream, and with your support, we can achieve it."
