Central Bank Of Nigeria (CBN) Warns On Need For Security Consciousness Over Plan To Abduct, Kidnap, Recruit Citizens Into Terrorism.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has passed an internal memorandum warning its staff on need for security consciousness as a result of an Intel from the Director, Security Services Department informing all staff of CBN to take note of the elevated security alert condition around the country and the need to take special care in their day to day activities.
The report which revealed that there is a plan by persons it described as " undesirable elements" to infiltrate various parts of the country particularly, state capitals and the FCT with the intention to perpetrate crimes of Abduction and kidnaooind for ransom or as recruits for terrorism.
According to CBN, the activities are likely to be carried out in the evenings and at night.
