OSUN: Bank Loses N600,000 As Robbers Invade Bank, Kill Two

 



2 Dead As Bank Staff Gets Intercepted By Robbers Through Back Door After Working Hours.



The Osun state police command through the commissioner of police in the state revealed on  Friday that armed robbers invaded a bank in Okuku, in Odo-Otin LGA of Osun state and made away with the sum of N600,000.



Olokode in a press statement made available to newsmen through the police spokesperson, Yemisi Opaola revealed, that the  robbers had accosted a staff of the bank who made to lock the door leading into the bank from the back after work for the day. 


The staff was placed under duress to open Automated Teller Machine (ATM) and made to force the staff to open yet another one but the repaid response from the police and other security agents caused the robbers to discontinue.


Olokode, also confirmed the death of two persons who died in the course of the armed robbery operation and appealed people of the state and its environs to work hand in hand with the police and also provide timely information that will help the police serve the people of Osun state better. 


Olokode while assuring the people said, the Police is committed to ensuring people are kept safe and it had put necessary measures in place to achieve that aim.
