Nigerian Government Breaks Promise To Return Fuel Price To N100, Hikes Price Of Fuel To N212 Per Litre.
The Federal Government on Thursday hiked the price of fuel to N212 per litre barely a day after it had promised Nigerian Citizens that it would return the price of fuel to N100 per litre.
The Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory (PPPRA) revealed on Thursday night that fuel would now sell for prices ranging from N209 to N212 per litre in the month March against N186 which it sold in February.
It also revealed that the landing cost of petrol will now be N189.61 per litre which is different from the N163.74 as seen in February.
Nigerians are currently reacting to the news expressing worry and stressing that the increase in fuel price will further cause the economy decline and increase hardship among citizens.
