Taraba state Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Abducted By Bandits.
Mr Peter Jediel the Taraba state chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) was abducted on Sunday at his residence in Sunkani Ardo LGA of Taraba state.
MediaOrchid recalls that about two weeks ago, the chairman of Ardo Kola LGA of the state Salihu Dovo was abducted by armed men suspected to be Herders and killed.
Sources revealed that the bandits, numbering up to twelve invaded the residence of Mr. Jediel at about 1:12 a.m.
The bandits reportedly opened fire and finally succeeded in gaining entrance into Mr Jediel's residence and took him away to an unknown location.
The police spokesperson in Taraba, David Misal has reportedly been transferred from the state and as at time of this report no replacement had been announced.
