World Trade Organization (WTO) Confirms Okonjo-Iweala As DG WTO.
Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has been announced by the World Trade Organization( WTO) as Director General (DG).
She is the first female and first African to become the head of the global trade body.
The global trade body in a statement on Monday said,
“ Dr. Okonjo-Iweala makes history as the first woman and the first African to lead the WTO. Her term starts on the 1st of March 2021. ”
