Women In Nigeria And Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room Mourns Activist.
Esther Uzoma was a legal practitioner, an Adcovate for Women's Rights and the Convener of 'The Situation Room'.
A statement issued by the Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room announcing her death signed by Asmau Joda, Co-convener and Celestine Okwudilu Odo Co-convener read,
" The Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room announces with deep shock the demise of its convener and who is also the National Coordinator of Proactive Gender Initiative Barr Esther Uzoma.

" Uzoma Died on Wednesday 6th January 2021 following a surgery at a hospital in Abuja.
" Esther was a a very energetic and a committed human rights and gender activist and has been in the fore front of driving Nigeria's Democratic Reforms
" She will be sorely missed by all who came in contact with her.
"The family will make further announcements on her burial."
Members of the Nigeria Civil Society, have taken to different media platforms to express their grief and extend condolence.
Chidi Odinkalu the senior team manager for the Africa Program of the Open Society Justice Initiative described late Esther as a courageous woman who will definitely leave an irreplaceable void.
