Planet Project, Under The Administration of Governor Hope Uzodinma Commences ' Junction Improvement, Urban Renewal Projects.
According to government of Imo state, the state 'Junction Improvement' is programmed to cut across all major roundabouts in the state enable easy movement.
A publication from the Governor's media team described most roundabouts in the state as before commencement of the project as " an eye sore" largely responsible the heavy gridlock in the Owerri the state capital with hope that the state will be free from gridlock as the ' Junction Improvement project' takes off to widen the roads to accommodate cars and as well beautify the state to make it attractive to investors and tourists.
Describing the project, the publication in part read :
" This is indeed the first step towards the urban renewal project of the shared prosperity government of Hope Uzodimma which includes but not limited to the following; Transportation and terminals, Markets and Traffic circulation,etc which at the end of the day will eventually place imo state on the map of socio-economic progressing states in the country.
" You may recall that early this month, Gov. Hope Uzodimma flagged off the urban renewal projects in imo state to ease traffic and change the face of the state capital amongst many other things. He added that all over the world, state capitals are given priorities so what we can do as a responsible government, is to make Owerri look good. Hence, the need to embark on the Urban Renewal Projects as Owerri is the symbol of Imo State.
" It is expected that by this new development, things are rightly working out for good especially for the Gov. Hope Uzodimma administrations that truly believes that prosperity is a collective reward for all Imolites and through these projects will continue to change lives and change the narratives. "
Some Imolites on social media platforms have however criticized the nature of evidence presented to the public on the project and have also demanded clarity on the nature of project while some are asking for improved 3D versions in Video / graphics stressing that it will heighten the excitement of Imolites while enabling them follow up on the project from any part of the world.
An Imolite speaking on the 'Junction Improvement Project' said,
" There is urgent need of an articulated graphic designer in the 3R government to showcase the project visual analysis messaging of Gov. Uzodinma's administration. "
