INEC Election Monitoring and Support Centre Red Zone Implementers’ Workshop Commences in Akure.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Friday organized a training workshop for the governorship election monitoring and support Centre Red Zone Implementers in Akure the Ondo state capital.
Present at the workshop were the Resident Electoral Commissioner of Ondo Ambassador Rufus Akeju, the National Commissioner Supervising Lagos and Ogun State Dr Adekunle Ogunmola, the project coordinator, European Centre for Electoral support, Mr Hamza Fassi-Fihri and the special Adviser to the INEC Chairman, Prof. Mohammad Kuna
The Resident Electoral Commissioner of Ondo Rufus listed already accomplished tasks at the Election Monitoring and Support Centre Red Zone Implementers workshop.
Dr Ogunmola the National Commissioner Supervising Lagos and Ogun State in his remarks reiterated the importance of the workshop.
Taking the workshop further Mr Fassi-Fihri delivered a goodwill message while the special adviser to the INEC Chairman, Prof Kuna, discussed the Amber Zone Election readiness report.
The Director, Planning and Monitoring, Mr Paul Omokore highlighted and explained the goals and objectives of the workshop.
In rounding up the session, the national Commissioner, Planning, Monitoring and Strategy Committee, Dr Mustafa Lecky, charged all Electoral Officers to make the INEC proud.
The Ondo State Governorship Election is scheduled for 10th October 2020.
