A huge fire which is believed to have started at Souq Ajman in the emirate destroys buildings barely 24hrs after Lebanon was hit by a massive explosion
According to reports, the fire broke out in the industrial area in Ajman about 50km away from Dubai the fire is believed to have started at about 6:30pm on Wednesday, 5th August at the Iranian Souq in Ajman which had been closed for several months due to COVID-19 safety measures.
Fire fighters were said to have arrived and battled the inferno for more than two hours.

The National hospital was evacuated as a precautionary measure after the fire broke out due to the proximity of site to Ajman Speciality Hospital which is also very close to a fruit and vegetable market in the industrial area.
A report from NUAE says the Police confirmed there were no casualties.
The souq, which is home to dozens of traders, is a popular attraction in Ajman, drawing visitors from across the Emirates.
Unfortunately, the authorities are yet to ascertain the cause of the fire.
