Buhari Ratifies N13bn For Community Policing


Buhari has approved N13bn to help with the implementation community Policing in Nigeria.

At a meeting with the National Economic Council (NEC), held on Thursday at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, and  headed by Vice president Yemi Osinbajo, it was revealed that President Buhari's decision was as a result of his need to put and end to challenges of  insecurity across the country.

Laolu Akande, the spokesperson for Vice President Osinbajo in a statement said,

" At today's NEC, meeting Osinbajo asked governors, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Finance Minister and the Inspector General of Police(IGP) to work out modalities on how the funds would be well utilised to ensure an effective implementation of Community Policing in Nigeria and give feed back to the NEC.

" Specifically, Governors will be represented at  consultations by the Chairman of Nigeria Governors Forum and Two others.

" There will be no delay   in putting more effort to ensure that the lives and property of Nigerians are secure. "
