(Video) : Joy Nueih Former NDDC MD Narrates How Armed Policemen Invaded,Her Home, Says They Broke In And Dragged Her


Former NDDC Director Joy Nunieh has narrated how her home was invaded at early hours on Thursday 16th July 2020 by Armed Policemen.

Speaking to newsmen, she said in a short but emotional interview.

"At about 4am, I was alerted on the presence of armed men in police uniform at my gate and they said they had come to take me away.
I asked  for what? Do they have a warrant of arrest?, they said there was no warrant of arrest.
At about six o'clock they broke the gate."
Narrating further she said

" Senator Abeh placed a call to the Commissioner of Police who said he wasn't aware of the arrest. After a while, they told me the Commissioner of Police was downstairs but he wasn't, it was the Deputy Commissioner of Police who was downstairs. I opened the door and they made to drag me so I closed the door back."

Nunieh who was supposed to appear before the members of the House of Representatives in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja today 16th July 2020 to make her submission before the Committee set by the House of Representatives stressed that she has no doubt what played out was a plot to stop her from appearing and testifying.


She thanked Gov. Nyesome Wike for coming to her rescue and providing refuge for her in the Rivers state Government House.
