Nigerian Music Singer and entertainer D'banj sues a lady seyitan Babatayo N1. 5 billion for alleging that he raped her.
D’banj in a previous lawsuit demanded a N100 million from Seyi Babatayo for character defamation and also asked for an apology through her lawyers.
Following recent happenings and several twist in the case, D’banj through his lawyer, Mike Ozekhome Chambers, has asked Ms Babatayo to pay the sum of N1.5 billion.
N1 billion was demanded in damages “over the untold embarrassment, derision, public ridicule, odium, obloguy, marital disharmony, mental agony and psychological agony and Psychological trauma which the defendants' tweets and publication have caused the claimant.
N500m was demanded as "aggravated, punitive, and exemplary damages."
The suit also demanded that Seyitan writes a "letter of unreserved apology for. The offensive tweets and posts".
D'banjs lawyers also prayed the court to grant "an order of perpetual injunction restraining the defendant from further publishing, tweeting or posting of offensive libelous statements."
In the past weeks, Seyitan has released several publication via her.twitter handle which are now confusing and contradictory.
In a statement she detailed how she was arrested and detained by the police and coerced to delete and post things on her Twitter handle.
Some of the things she posted includes she was never detained, wanting to leave everything hehind and so many others.
