Men of the Nigeria police force have arrested an All progressive Congress (APC) ward Chairman in Nasarawa state for Sexually Abusing two (2) girls.
Mr. Christopher Ogah was arrested after he was caught while allegedly defiling two girls aged 12 and 13 who he lured into his house located in Obi LGA of Nassarwa state when they came to fetch water.
The Chairman of Obi Local Government Area, Alhaji Mohammad Oyimoga Oyigye, testifying said he saved Ogah from being lynched by angry youth, who caught him and immediately handed him over to the police.
Our source speaking with an eye witness confirmed that Christopher lured the girls when they entered his house to fetch water, adding that it was not his first time of committing such crime.
Bola Longe the Commissioner of Police in Nasarawa state has confirmed that he gave instruction for the immediate transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further investigation.
He said
" I am assuring the public of the police command’s commitment to arrest and prosecute anyone found wanting no matter how highly placed,” he said
He also stated that the police is issuing a stern warning to rapists to desist or face the consequences."
